Growing Together, Feeding the Future
Dusangire Burundian Products turns Burundian harvests into nutritious, long-lasting food to fight hunger, reduce post-harvest losses and give farmers a fair income.
Why DUSANGIRE?
“Dusangire”: let’s share together
In Kirundi, dusangire means “let’s share”. That is the spirit of our mission: reducing hunger, eliminating food waste, improving nutrition, creating jobs and strengthening rural communities.
Less post-harvest loss
Solar drying, milling, airtight storage and community warehouses: instead of letting crops spoil after harvest, we turn them into nutritious, shelf-stable products.
A fair income for farmers
Guaranteed purchasing agreements, fair pricing, agricultural training, market access and cooperative development.
Better nutrition

Who are we?
A social enterprise serving Burundi
Dusangire Burundian Products (DBP) is a non-profit organisation working for food security through sustainable agriculture, food processing, nutrition and community development.
Rather than relying solely on donations, we operate as a social enterprise: income from the sale of our value-added agricultural products is reinvested into expanding our operations and funding community programmes.
Our programmes
Beyond our products
School feeding
Locally produced nutritious meals to reduce child hunger and improve school attendance and learning outcomes.
Women and youth
Skills training, employment, business mentoring and leadership development for women and young people.
Zero food waste
Every part of the harvest has value: peels become livestock feed and compost, peanut shells become fuel briquettes, vegetable waste becomes biogas.
Environment
Tree planting, soil conservation, water harvesting, composting and solar-powered food processing.
Join the movement
Farmer, school, partner, donor or customer: together, we can grow more, waste less and build a Burundi where no one is left behind.
